This week, we talk to Tyler Marler…

Name: : Tyler Marler
Company Role: Junior Software Engineer

What do you do at DME Forensics? I mainly work on the back-end functionality of DVR Examiner. This includes reverse engineering and implementing support for new DVR file systems. As well as, Fixing any issues that can occur from detection of a file system to previewing a clip.
What are your credentials/experience for working in your position? I graduated from University of Northern Colorado in May of 2019, with a Bachelors in Software engineering. This is the first software development role, since graduating.
What do you like about working at DME Forensics? I enjoy the fact that we all work together as a team to overcome any challenges we face. I also like that every day can present a new challenge and I am always learning new things. I am also proud to be a part of a company that helps investigators around the world.
What is your background? I was born and raised in Colorado. I lived in Estes Park, CO for 11 years until I moved to Erie, CO which is where I currently live.
What are the values that drive you? Accountability and Integrity.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? I enjoy hiking on trails in Boulder and Fort Collins. I started snowboarding when I was 11 years old and haven’t stopped since. I also enjoy jet skiing and wake boarding in the Summer. Lastly, I like to play video games when I have the time.
