Welcome to our “Inside DME Forensics” blog series. Over the next few weeks, each DME Forensics team member will introduce him/herself by going over a short list of interview type questions (some professional & some personal), in an effort to best describe who is it that you talk to when you call and/or email us!
This week, we proudly introduce Sarah…
Name: Sarah Gordon
Company Role: Software Test
Favorite quote: “CHEEP CHEEP CHEEP CHEEP CHEEP CHEEP CHEEP” -my 8 baby chickens, constantly.
What do you do at DME Forensics? I test the back-end and automate a lot of our development processes!
Please describe your current “work from home” setup: I’ve got a standing desk with a sweet pup always behind me and a box of endlessly cheeping baby chicks in the next room.
What are your credentials/experience for working in your position? I have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from UC Riverside, and spent 7 years at Northrop Grumman wearing a wide range of hats from systems engineer to software developer.
What do you like about working at DME Forensics? The people!
What is your background? I was born and raised in San Diego, went to college in Riverside, then moved to Pasadena after graduating in 2012. I started traveling to Colorado for work in 2014, and very quickly decided to flee the smog, heat, and traffic of LA for the mountains. I moved to Denver in 2015 and have not looked back.
What are the values that drive you? Inclusion, understanding, and honesty
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Pretty much anything in the mountains! I grew up going to the Sierra’s every summer, and have always loved being in the alpine. When I moved to Colorado, I fell in love with climbing both rock and ice, sure and am a big fan of alpine ridge scrambles! I finally got around to learning to ski this year, and even though I’m still terrible at it I managed to get in a couple of back-country ski tours before the pandemic. Outside of that, I’m also a brand new chicken mom as well as a doggo stepmom!
