“Inside DME” is a series that introduces team members through professional and personal Q&As. The goal is to help our customers and prospects get to know who is handling their calls and e-mails.
This week, meet Monica…

Name: Monica Segura-Bunch
Company Role: Marketing Manager
Favorite quote: “A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.” – Christopher Reeve
What do you do at DME Forensics? I am Marketing Manager. It’s exciting to be in a role that’s developing strategies to promote the company’s impressive stats—over 1,000 agencies in over 80 countries rely on DME’s flagship product, DVR Examiner, to recover valuable evidence.
Please describe your current “work from home” setup: I use my loft for a home office. Since I live in the foothills, I have a good view of the mountains. It’s a great place to watch thunderstorms and lightning shows. My dog, Annie, thinks it’s a great place to watch birds and take naps.
What are your credentials/experience for working in your position? I’m an experienced marketing-communications professional who has worked in government, engineering, and national defense.
What do you like about working at DME Forensics? It’s a small team with a vital mission—developing technology that helps criminal justice and civil litigation communities do their jobs quickly, safely, and more confidently. However, there’s plenty of fun in between. For example, I experienced an employee breakfast during my first week. DME’s COO took the lead on cooking up a breakfast that included eggs, potato cakes, pancakes with Vermont maple syrup, waffles, crispy bacon, and special-brewed coffee. (Yep, one of DME’s tech engineers is into roasting coffee beans and the company benefits from his hobby!) However, everyone jumped in to contribute. It was a great example of teamwork and how serious DME is about bonding over a good meal.
What is your background? I am a Chicago native who moved to Colorado 18 years ago. Although I miss Lake Shore Drive, Chicago-style hot dogs and Kingston Mines for live blues music, I’m spoiled by mountain life.
What are the values that drive you? Being on a team that’s passionate about helping a company grow.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hiking with my family and trail running with my dog are two favorite activities. However, it’s hard to beat going to concerts at Red Rocks!
