Welcome to our “Inside DME Forensics” blog series. Over the next few weeks, each DME Forensics team member will introduce him/herself by going over a short list of interview type questions (some professional & some personal), in an effort to best describe who is it that you talk to when you call and/or email us!
This week we talk to Bart…
Name: : Bart Wolczyk
Company Role: Software Engineer Team Lead
Favorite quote: “Are you silly? I’m still gonna send it” (Larry Enticer)
What do you do at DME Forensics? I work with our backend team on implementing new and improving existing DVR File Systems. I also coordinate our Dev Ops and Release Management groups.
Please describe your current “work from home” setup: I am lucky to live only a few minutes away from work. I have been able to consistently come into our Golden office. I have also earned the title of “designated reset button pusher”.
What are your credentials/experience for working in your position? Over the last 14 years I have been working as a Software Engineer for several different industries. I started with Financial software, eventually moving to Data Backup, Ecommerce and most recently Forensics. I have a degree in Computer Science from Southeast Missouri State University, and some graduate level work completed at University of Colorado Boulder
What do you like about working at DME Forensics? We are a technology company. We get a great support, latest hardware and freedom to develop software for our customers using latest tools and industry standards. From an engineer standpoint that’s pretty great. Also, there are only cool cats working here!
What is your background? I am originally from Poland. Through student exchange program I ended up in Southeast Missouri where I graduated from High School and University. Right after school I got my first job in Boulder and planted my roots in Colorado.
What are the values that drive you? Work hard play hard. Sounds cliché, but I stand by it.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Most Fridays we load up our adventure mobile with my wife Vanessa and doggo Stag. After that, it’s skiing, mountain biking, SUPing and full on vanlife until it’s time to go back to work on Monday.
