Even during our busy conference season, we’re committed to making DVR Examiner better with more bug squashes, feature additions, and DVR support.
We’ve added the ability to include file hashes in the export report. When you begin an export from DVR Examiner, you can check the ‘Generate MD5 Hash’ option to receive an MD5 hash for each file exported. This is great for when you need to prove file integrity.
Based on requests from our users, we have added support for 2 new filesystems:
- DHPT: commonly found in Mace and other numerous branded and unbranded DVRs.
- Vineyard: Commonly found in Q-See, Bunker Hill, Swann, LTS, Raysharp, and other numerous branded and unbranded DVRs.
We also squashed a couple of bugs:
- USB Write blockers: issue with older USB write blockers not reporting a serial number to Windows
- Scanning/Exporting Data: Some DVR filesystems were not able to scan or export correctly in certain circumstances
