Welcome to 2015! We have a lot of plans for this year, and we wanted to share some of the exciting things we’re working on.
Upcoming Features and Releases
For DVR Examiner, adding support for additional DVRs remains our primary focus for 2015. If you encounter a DVR model that we aren’t currently able to scan and export, please let us know! More than ever, we’ll be prioritizing the DVRs we add support for based on the feedback you provide us.
This year, you may notice some variations in release timing and included features. For example, you may notice more frequent releases with fewer features. We want to deliver support for new DVRs as soon as possible, so we will be working on the best way to roll those out to you quickly. We also have some great new things planned when it comes to new features, but we’ll be releasing those as a major release planned for this summer.
User Feedback Sessions
We want to hear from you! We value all feedback that we receive and we want to make sure that DVR Examiner continues to exceed your expectations. Over the next few months we hope to chat with all of our users and talk to them about DVR Examiner. We’ll be reaching out via email soon to find a time that is convenient for you to tell us about your experiences.
New Purchasing Option
While our goal with the subscription model is to provide a lower cost of entry for smaller agencies and organizations, we have received some great feedback that this model doesn’t work for everyone. With that in mind, starting in a couple of weeks we will be adding a more traditional purchasing option. This will include an upfront cost for the software and an annual maintenance fee. We will have more information on this new option for you soon, but if this pricing model is something you are interested in learning more about, let us know. Remember that whichever purchasing option you choose, you never lose access to versions you have previously utilized – even if you don’t renew your subscription or your annual maintenance lapses.
We have always put being helpful and educational ahead of the business side of our company. Whether we are giving away free training at conferences, or answering questions by email and phone, we want to make sure that we are doing everything we can to help solve your problem – even if that means we aren’t the solution.
We made some great progress on this in 2014, but our goal is to be even better in 2015. We will have a blog post on these changes coming up soon, but some of the highlights include:
- Website updates (both content and speed improvements)
- An easier DVR Examiner free trial signup process
- More blog posts, including company news, how-to guides, product releases and more educational type posts
- More resources for answering questions and solving problems
We will be announcing and rolling out these changes over the first half of 2015. As always, if you have suggestions for how we can do better, please tell us!
We are excited to announce that we will be unveiling a new product very soon! More information will be available soon, so be sure to Sign Up to get the latest details as they are released!
We have these two courses scheduled back to back in June so let us know if you are interested in attending.
We are also working on a refresh of our Forensic DVR Recovery Utilizing Byte Level Analysis classes. We will be streamlining these to ensure we can meet the needs of all the students who are interested.
As mentioned in our 2014 Review post, our laboratory services grew exponentially in popularity last year, and we’d of course like to continue that trend. Have questions regarding a forensic image analysis matter, audio enhancement, forensic DVR recovery, or pretty much anything else related to digital & multimedia evidence? Don’t hesitate to reach out to us. Check out what we can do for you here.
This has been just a small overview at what looks to be a busy year. There will be a lot going on, but we’re never too busy to hear from you. We want you to know how much we appreciate everyone that supported us last year, and we look forward to being the company you turn to when it comes to digital & multimedia evidence solutions in 2015!
