About Us

About DME Forensics
DME Forensics is an innovative technology and services company focused on providing software, training and digital & multimedia evidence analysis to the criminal justice and civil litigation communities.

Our flagship software product, DVR Examiner, has revolutionized the process of recovering video evidence from DVRs and is used by hundreds of federal, state, local and international law enforcement agencies. Many DVRs you may encounter have archaic menu systems and frustratingly slow exports. DVR Examiner allows you to recover video from the DVR hard drive directly. This allows you to save time, bypass passwords and recover evidence from non-functioning DVRs in a forensically sound manner.

With over 30 years combined experience in the digital & multimedia evidence field, our team has the expertise required to assist you in this fast changing discipline.

Our History
Founded in the fall of 2012 by Jimmy Schroering (view bio) as a forensics training company with the goal of providing cutting-edge training in the field of digital and multimedia forensics.

Early in 2013, Jimmy teamed up with Jason Latham (view bio) and as a result, we were able to develop our Laboratory Services and Research & Development divisions. In addition to providing training, we could now provide laboratory services and begin developing software for the digital forensics community.

After expanding the team in 2014, DME Forensics released version 1.0 of DVR Examiner, our flagship software product for the recovery of video from CCTV DVRs, in June of 2014. Since then, DVR Examiner has grown substantially and is in use by more than 120 agencies in over 20 countries.

As of 2016, our team of 5 provides Technology, Services, and Training to practitioners in the field of digital and multimedia evidence.
